Tanner Howe was was the third youngest captain in the Regina Pats' history.
About a month and a half before the provincial election, a new poll by Mainstreet and Postmedia suggests that the Saskatchewan Party still has the strongest support at 49 per cent.
The poll is based on a random phone survey of 1,477 people on Feb. 11 with a margin of error at plus or minus 2.55 per cent 19 times out of 20 across the province.
The SaskParty polled two points lower at 49 per cent, with the NDP gaining four points at 28 per cent.
Out of the 14 per cent of people who said they were undecided voters, 55 per cent are not leaning towards any particular political party.
David Valentin with Mainstreet Research maintains the undecided voters remain the ones to watch.
“If the election is going to be closer and there is going to be a reversal of fortune, the first number that is going to move is the undecided”, said Valentin by telephone. “If you see that spike up in to the 25 percent 30 per cent range in the next few weeks you’ll know people are second-guessing whether to vote for the Saskatchewan Party.”
